Hole - Celebrity Skin

AH! Before I forget. The Stylistpick talk w/ Grace Woodward.

So a week or so ago, I got an invite to go to a week of talks for Stylistpick.com @ Westfield. This was to promote their pop up shop, lasting for 10 days. This past Saturday, I went to Grace Woodward's talk and it was...awesome. Just really enlightening. The lady herself was very cool and glamourous even in ripped jeans! When I got to ask my question to her, I asked her 'how do I stop myself from psyching myself out of wearing daring things that I do actually like?' and the one thing that stayed with me was her saying ''we’re the only statement we have.”

At the end of the talk we all got a lovely little goodie back including a Wella hair texturiser, Hotel Chocolat Pink Champagne Truffles, the Illamasqua lipstick I did the earlier review on, a lovely steam cream I'll review later and a couple of vouchers I shall DEFINITELY be using!

I stayed up till 5am to watch the Oscars.

That was the first time I've ever done that, but I have just joined twitter (sold out, lol) and thought I'd do live commentary just because. The winners weren't a shocker (though Gary Oldman should've won an Oscar just for being great) but I stayed up mainly for the fashion. Now before I got on to my other favourites....allow me a moment to swoon over this woman.

The hair. The colour. THE SKIN. Viola Davis is flawless. I just could not get over how beautiful she looked. The green of this Vera Wang gown was perfect for her and she was just glowing. I don't really get all the shock over her wearing her natural hair but I do agree that she should wear the wigs less often. This is THE look for her.

I did really like what Jennifer Lopez wore as well even though it's sort of a staple look for her now.

Stacey Kiebler (Former WWE Diva) wore Marchesa.

Jessica Chastain in Alexander McQueen. I love the fact that you can just look at this gown and know it's McQueen.

Kelly Osbourne in Badgley Mischka. I would so wear this.

Review: Illamasqua Lipstick in Sonnet

Hi everyone! Ok, first review for the newly redone blog will be for a lipstick I got in a Stylistpick goodie bag yesterday (more on that next post.), the Illamasqua lipstick in Sonnet.

I do adore this brand as I find the colours and campaigns so beautiful, like MAC meets Cirque du Soleil in a way but this is the first time I have actually owned anything by Illamasqua. The packaging is lovely. Really smooth and stylish looking. Now onto the the lipstick. It is VERY light and put against my dark skin tone like a peachy nude. When I put it on, it was very matte but made my lips look dry so I'd recommend using it with a bit of gloss. Sadly the colour really is not my thing as it's a much lighter nude so would suit light skin tones.

A Change Has Come.
